Vacature Software Engineer with strong focus on Testing
As Software Engineer - Test you will create new automated test frameworks, implement new tools, and create innovative automated test systems that push the limits of components and applications to ensure they function as expected for enterprise level customers.
Location: Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. (Beautiful green part of the Netherlands)
We’re seeking sharp programmers with strong development skills who want to match their wits against the challenges of automating the testing of a large, enterprise system. The core of Perceptive’s product line can simultaneously service thousands of clients. Ensuring the robustness of that level of application isn’t an easy programming job. Our products include C, C++, Java, and web service based applications.
This exciting time at Perceptive Software offers a unique opportunity as we embark on a new era of testing--building the necessary tools and infrastructure from the ground up.
Tasks & responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of defect tracking for a team.
• Install and maintain multiple testing environments and attendant test data.
• Design and develop automation frameworks. This includes writing tests “below” the user interface (for example, API testing).
• Design and implement robust, repeatable automated tests.
• Manage scheduled runs of automated tests and collect the resulting data.
• Analyze and understand test results, writing defects as appropriate, and monitoring trends over time.
• Identify and recommend better, more efficient ways to work for the team.
Your profile:
• Experience developing Windows or UNIX applications required;
- Strong experience in programming including full software development life cycle;
- Experience developing industrial strength client and server applications using C, C++ or Java
- Knowledge of relational database programming and experience with SQL Server or Oracle is highly desirable;
- Localization experience is a strong plus
• Bachelor (BS) or equivalent experience required, having a Masters (MS) or PhD is a plus;
• Must be able to communicate (oral and written) activities as needed to all interested parties clearly and concisely
• Must be able to work collaboratively and independently
